Ever since I started the business in 2010, Velo has and always will, operate as an extension of our client’s teams.    My mission was to build a committed team of experts with one common goal – to craft B2B marketing to be proud of in partnership with our clients.

It is a rare philosophy, but one shared by B2B brand and story-telling agency, Creative Covenant.  This is why I am pleased to welcome the Creative Covenant team to the Velo family, adding even more branding, marketing, and customer experience firepower and boosting the agency in size to over 30 staff.

Formed just six months before the pandemic, Creative Covenant has established themselves as brand storytelling experts in the B2B tech sectors now with an unrivalled specialism in cybersecurity.  We welcome all clients of Creative Covenant and look forward to working with them to solve all their problems.

This will further beef up Velo’s strategic and storytelling capabilities, particularly for brand strategy, success stories, content marketing, and cross-media opinion leadership spanning podcasting, written and video formats.

More firepower to develop our team

Lucinda Dobinson joins our team in the newly created role of Strategy Director.  She adds more senior agency leadership experience, combined with more specialist expertise for our clients.  Alongside this, she brings inspirational mentorship as part of our quest to make Velo a place where the best people want to grow.

Alongside Lucie, Gayle Kennedy becomes Velo’s first Head of Storytelling adding leadership and further depth to our existing pool of expert writers and content strategists.  Alongside Lucie and Gayle, the Creative Covenant team specialist videographers, motion graphics artists and creatives all join the team.

There has never been a more exciting time to be a B2B marketer.  Buyer behaviour is changing, and this calls for a different marketing approach.  Notably, the importance of marketing in corporate strategy and in the boardroom is lifting, giving all B2B marketers the opportunity to make a real difference to their business.

Although he claims not to look old enough, the emerging silver locks tell a different story. As MD, founder and owner of Velo, his role is to lead the agency maintaining our quality standards to be the level that means we continue to be built on recommendation. He has a particular focus on new business, overseeing all our client relationships and leading our strategy function to make sure that our team has the skills and capabilities that our clients need, so we continue always craft great work to be proud of.
